Website accessibility


The hotel website was made accessible to people with disabilities and is compliant with the requirements of SII 5568 at level AA. The accessible website can be viewed on desktop, tablet and cell phone by pressing the accessibility icon. Despite the tremendous effort and attention, some pages on the website may not yet be accessible, or no technological solution has been find to make them accessible. We are continuing our efforts to improve website accessibility, to the extent possible, in a belief and moral obligation to allow the website to be used by the entire population, including people with disabilities.

The Hotel Premises and Parking
  • Pastoral Hotel sprawls over 53 dunams of land. Hotel rooms, suits, public spaces and halls are located in various buildings on the site, and all are linked by accessible paths.
  • Half of the hotel rooms are located on the ground floor.
  • The hotel has several parking lots, each of which have designated disabled parking spots.
  • Hotel parking is free of charge.
  • Parking at the designated site for people with disabilities, possible with disability tag only.
  • 6 rooms in the hotel have been modified for people with disabilities.

The Lobby and Reception
  • All parking leads through accessible paths to the eastern entrance to the hotel lobby.
  • The eastern entrance to the lobby is fully accessible to people with disabilities and can be reached through paths that link all buildings and halls throughout the complex. All paths, as specified, are accessible.
  • The hotel lobby contains the reception, bathrooms (including bathrooms for the disabled), dining room, bar, performance halls, library and spa. All locations listed are wheelchair-accessible.
  • From the eastern exit from the lobby, each of the buildings can be reached in a wheelchair.
  • The reception area is fully accessible to people with disabilities and for people in wheelchairs.
  • People with disabilities are placed (scheduled in advance, on an availability basis) on the ground floor.

Assistance to guests
  • At reception, which is located on the ground floor of the main building, assistance of the staff can be requested in various areas such as:
  • Moving furniture in the room
  • Completing forms
  • Carrying equipment to the guest room
  • Orientation in the hotel premises
  • Serving food in the dining rooms

Elevators

The hotel does not have elevators. As a result, when reserving, people with disabilities are placed on the ground floor (scheduled in advance, and based on availability)

Signs
  • There are directional signs and designated accessible parking spaces
  • New signs are in compliance with the accessibility requirements. At the same time, most signs were installed prior to publication of the regulations and have not yet been changed. Some may not be in compliance with the requirements.
  • For orientation and arrival of guests to the various hotel services, we will be pleased to help. Request assistance at the reception desk in the form of assistance from a hotel staff employee.

Employee training
  • All hotel employees are aware of the accessibility requirement and modifications for accessibility that were made in the hotel.
  • Employees who provide direct service underwent comprehensive training that includes information about the types of disabilities and requirements of the law, skills and tools for accessible service for people with disabilities as well as relevant hands-on experience.

Sitting and eating areas
  • All sitting areas and dining rooms have modified seats.
  • In the dining rooms, there is accessibility to part of the self-service buffet and part service by service providers, At the same time, assistance may be requested from the staff in serving all food and in carrying the food to the table.
  • In the dining rooms, there are accessible tables that include free area for wheelchairs.

Halls
  • Pastoral halls are accessible as is the path to them.
  • People in wheelchairs can sit in the halls.
  • Installed in the Symphony and Opera Halls are hearing aid systems during performances and lectures. Earphones are available free of charge with advance notice.

Swimming (seasonal)
  • The kibbutz's swimming pool is available to hotel guests.
  • The swimming pool may be accessed through accessible paths.
  • Entrance to the pool is accessible through a ramp.
  • The pool has bathrooms for people with disabilities. Entrance is accessible through a ramp.
  • The cafeteria is wheelchair accessible.
  • The swimming pool has a chair to lower people with disabilities into the water. Its operation is in conjunction with the lifeguard.

Accessible guest rooms
  • The Pastoral Hotel has 6 accessible rooms in accordance with the regulation
  • Access to the rooms is possible from accessible paths. All 6 of the accessible rooms are located on the ground floor.
  • Requests can be made to elevate the bed in every hotel room

  • Accessible room similar to a regular room in the same building located on the ground floor.

  • Shower allows for wheelchairs with wheels of 150cm diameter to rotate
  • Accessible and equipped shower small dimension 120cm, retractable chair, shower grab bar, handle of the shower faucet at a height adjusted to the wand and arm
  • Toilet adjusted to wheelchair, retractable handle on one side and holding bar on other side on the wall.
  • Sink adjusted to inserting feet under the sink during use.
  • Standing batch (in Boutique rooms only) not designated for people with disabilities.
  • Accessible bed at height of 55cm
  • Desk height 75cm adjusted for sitting in wheelchair
